If you’ve already planned a trip to Hong Kong and are definitely visiting in 2020, you’ll still have a great experience. The good news is that Hong Kong Disneyland’s newest Marvel attraction - Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle! is now open! This interactive shooter ride is highly anticipated, and will be the park’s second Marvel-themed attraction as the park continues development of a Marvel Super Hero land as part of Hong Kong Disneyland’s multi-year expansion. If you’re only going to visit Hong Kong Disneyland once, waiting until both of those lands are finished is ideal.
Unfortunately, the Frozen Land won’t be done until 2021, with the final pieces of the Marvel Land puzzle coming a couple years after that. The Marvel Land and Frozen Land, in particular, sound awesome. We’re really excited for the expansion plans announced for HKDL that will add a new castle, Frozen Land, and Marvel Land to the park. Second–and because of this–you might want to wait to visit Hong Kong Disneyland if you’re still debating when to visit. The good news is that it’s progressing really nicely, and starting to even look decent in photos!. An exact completion date–or even month–is not yet known, the work should be done by Spring 2020.
Before we get into the meat of this planning guide, there are a couple of things you need to know if you’re planning a visit to HKDL in the near future…įirst, Sleeping Beauty Castle is currently being transformed into something totally different (see the artist rendering below), a long process. During that visit, we did Iron Man Experience several times, and stayed at the new Explorers Lodge hotel. We are not locals to Hong Kong Disneyland, but we have taken numerous trips to Hong Kong Disneyland, most recently for Halloween.
